Are the questions in the back of the Texas Drivers Handbook the same as the ones on the actual test?
Q. im taking the test this week and i dont know if they are or not.
Asked by Jenny R - Mon Jun 15 16:56:41 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Probably not, they are just representative of the questions on the test. There might be some questions similar to the ones on the test. Read and understand the Handbook and you'll probably do just fine.

A. Your friends obvioulsy did not pay any attention to the book when they read it then. All the questions of which you will have to answer on the test, are in the handbook. You will have to read it and study it. In the questions in each chapter, or in the back of the book the questions clearly state in each sequence that they could be on the test. They only use those questions in there. Your friends are trying to make it sound harder to you than what it really is. They wouldnt give you a book to study if the questions werent in the book. If in doubt, read the entire book, study it very well. Then you have no worries either way. I live in Texas as well. Used their books from DPS for the Class C, then got my Class B CDL, and then my Class A CDL. [cont.]

The question are samples but yes some of them can be on the test. 3. They are multiple questions and to pass the written tests you need a grade of 70%. 4. No its not hard at all its just common sense questions. 5. I passed the first time and only missed 1 question..

Texas Drivers Handbook & Permit test Module one?
Q. So.. my mom gave me a huge stack of papers that she printed that was the Module one for my permit, which made me super stressed cuz that's alot of papers. Half the stack was tests and stuff that she said I had to complete and bring with me to get my permit. is that true? I have everything else, do I really need all those tests? and if so how do I finish them all?! I've been flipping through papers to get the answers and it's harder than it looks, I'm overwhelmed and need help. =[ Awesome! thank you so much! =]
Asked by debb_michele - Thu Jul 30 15:08:08 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. So you are doing the parent taught program? You are supposed to do all that stuff and your mom or whoever is supposed to teach you and test you with those materials. But all you need to take with you get your permit is a log sheet which you fill out yourself with the dates and times that you completed the assignments, and the required ID materials. So you don't really need all those tests. They are not gonna ask you for them, only the logsheet which you sign saying you did all the tests and stuff. My advice is read the handbook and understand it.

drivers license rules in texas?
Q. I am about to finish my 50 hours of behind the wheel driving, and will be getting my license soon. I have been trying to find out the rules for Texas driver licenses. Like, how many people are aloud in the car and talking on your cell phone. I have looked in the Texas Drivers Handbook, online, and have asked people. Nobody can give me the facts. I just don't want to get in trouble for having my siblings, who are 12 and 10, in the car when they shouldn't be.

A. No, you cannot have more than one person under the age of 21 without your parent present. Here is what I found: Graduated Driver Licensing in a Nutshell The graduated driver licensing program aims to achieve these great results in a few ways. First, it requires all those under 18 to start out with a learner's permit, only driving with a licensed adult (21 or older) in the car with them. Teens need to have this permit for six months and have turned at least 16 before they can move on to a provisional license. The provisional license then lets teens drive without an adult but not with more than one friend under 21 in the car with them. And they can't drive between midnight and 5 a.m. The idea behind these restrictions is for the still-new [cont.]

A. If the left turn lane is separated by the other lanes by a solid line, it is understood to be a no passing zone. If I'm understanding your explanation correctly, you turned across the other driver's lane, and she would have hit you whether she was passing traffic or intending to turn left. She was going too fast, but it seems to me that you were at fault for crossing her lane.

A. No, they won't let you. You have to be 15. I live in Texas too, but I got my permit at 17 and held it for 6 months. I recently turned 18, but they wouldn't even renew my license till I turned 18, even though it was the next day. So yeah, you're gonna have to wait. I mean, you can always TRY, and then just return to the DMV after you turn 15, but I really doubt they'll let you.

Texas Driver's License Exam - Class C (19 years old)?
Q. Hi, I have a question concerning the difficulty of the Texas Driver's License exam. I am going to take it this Monday, and I am wondering what sort of questions they will ask you. I am aware that they have the questions in the back of the DMV handbook, and that we are required to read the material thoroughly; however, I am also learning from an additional source, and their questions are much more difficult to answer: they are very specific when asking questions related to the weight of an individual and the effects of consuming a certain amount of alcohol - affecting a person's blood alcohol level. Will they ask you specific questions about fines for convictions while drinking under the influence and driving without a license? Do you… [cont.]

A. The Texas Drivers License Test is given on an electronic screen. There is a minimum percent you have to answer correctly. The more questions you answer incorrectly, the more questions the machine gives you to answer, up to 100, to a point where you will not pass it. The machine gives you a chance to change your answer by asking you if you are sure that is the answer you want. Don't worry about it, it asks for every question. The secret to passing the test is to relax. Don't worry about not passing it. If you studied the book and answered the example questions, then you will do fine. If you are scared, or overly nervous you might choke, so don't dwell on the test, and don't dwell on any question you answered incorrectly. That would cause… [cont.]

Is the test to get your instruction permit hard?
Q. I live in Texas and I'm going to take the test in a couple of days. I've already read the handbook and everything, I just want to know how hard it is on a scale of one to ten and what topics it focuses on. -thanks

A. If you study and memorize its a 3 if not a 9. Be sure you know the % of alcohol limits, sign shapes and distances etc., they often trick you with multiple choice answer numbers that are very close.
