How far would a horse in the 1800s U.S. travel in one day?
Q. I was raised in East Texas. There county "seats" are set 30 miles apart. I always thought that that was because that was how far a horse could ride in a day. So, I'm asking the average speed of a horse with rider across fairly level plains or dirt roads. Or, how long would it take the average horse and rider to cover 30 miles riding at a comfortable pace? It makes my backside sore just to think about it!

In 1995, total state and fed medicaid spending was approx $156B, in 2004 $309B. In 2004 fed spending alone was $176B. Adults between the age of 21 and 64 without children receive no medicaid benefits at all. Here is a nice quote "As noted above, in a recent year in Colorado, the state's emergency Medicaid program paid an estimated $30 million in hospital and physician delivery costs for about 6,000 illegal immigrant mothers - average of $5,000 per baby." I don't remember, but I somehow wound up with a citation for the lack of seat belt, and failure to provide insurance. It is now 5 years later, I have renewed my license at least once, registered a car and rejoined the Army. All with my driving record clean. 4 days ago I got a letter in the mail from a collection agency claiming I had three citations. After my wife tried to get in touch with the county courthouse, she was informed that the number she received was the wrong number. Then a letter is sent (sometimes posing as the court and other times as a collection agency.) Who did they say to put as payee on the $1,070+/- check? Sometimes they will use the correct name, (clerk of courts, El Paso County, TX, but with a P.O. Box for mailing, rather than the actual street address of the court.) but checks are fairly easy for professionals to alter. (and cashing it across the border makes the crook untraceable.) Q. so i made up my mind . . im guna get the tc but i have some questions first off im 16 and i live in houston texas where its really hot and no snow and sometimes alot of rain! . .this is my first car and im getting it as my only gift since i wanted it for 4 years and finally im getting it and yes its either guna be a 2008-2010 i like the newer models and im african american and i dont like to speed or anything or race jus a car to get me to point a to point b to point c . . im a very good driver . .so yeahh thank u guys 1. is it good on a county road? like by woods and stuff and on bumpy roads? my dad lives in the country like 45 mins from houston 2. what insurance is best? and what do they classify the car in? 2 door coupe? 2 door… [cont.]

A. 1. The tC is a fairly good car on the country but you will feel bumps, if you ae constantly out in the country and it is a dirt road and very dusty you will have to CHECK not change the air filter every time you change your oil. but its best to go slow in a bump off road area. it'll hold up, some guys have taken the tC in the desert driven through sand and some guys have taken it through a creek with water up to the hood. 2. I hear farmers insurance is good, i have USAA and thats only for military and military dependents. the tC is suppose to be classified as a 3 door sedan/coupe hatchback. that is how mine is classified and insurance for me is between $600-700 a year. i hear some people pay up to $1000 insurance for a tC which is way to… [cont.]
